Welcome to cruisemaniac.com. This is the blog site of well… TheCruisemaniac a.k.a. Ashwin.
Ashwin is publicly known to lead two lives… The first one is where he tries to be a “super-hero“… and fails miserably. Everyday! You all know
this right??? Yep, this is the life he lives between 9AM and 6PM as a software engineer at a reputed telecom software giant with an operations centre in Bangalore, India.
During this 9-6 period, he tries to desperately squash bugs, enhance code performance and do other such incomprehendible-jargony-things to please his managers so that he could get an on-site trip and probably settle down there with a good-looking girl 
. It is however totally needless to mention that he has consistently had absolute-zero success rate… Both with the onsite trip AND the good-looking girls…
The other life, the one where Ashwin is just himself, a phase where he lives his true life… as the commonly known Cruisemaniac wakes up just post 6PM and lives on through the night into the next morning until its time for Ashwin to wake up and report to work!
The Cruisemaniac is heavily addicted to gadgets, tech-gossip, technology, web, OSes, and so on… Mobiles are his first love… Gadgets being his second… This character as was mentioned by someone, cruises through the techno-scape at a mind-numbing pace. All for one reason, the zest for technology… As long as its not titled Motorola! And hence the name Cruisemaniac.
The best place to find the Cruisemaniac is at Barcamps or tweetups as he considers the barcampers and twitterers to be a huuuuuge-techno-cratic-extension of his family! Always ready to fix wi-fi at any place he possibly can, the cruisemaniac is also known as the Wi-fi Mechanic in the Barcamp and twitter circles.
